A little about this day. Derek, Lauren, and their families were so relaxed. The families were humble and elegant. They were all about the celebration of the beloved couple coming together. From the moment of their first look, at Lauren’s family home on Grosse Ile, corks were being popped! Emotion filled the air as everyone started to filled their glasses and hearts with joy.
From there the wedding ceremony shined with even more beauty. One could not help but admire the 100+ year old catholic church in all its elegant design. Even though it was tipping 100˚ that day and the church lacked AC the families greeted one another, talked loudly, and prepared for the celebration that was to come. Being wedding photographers we are constantly drawn into others lives. It is an honor and privilege. Seeing the cherished moments from the front row and even sometimes the back we are constantly pushed to create different work.
From there all we can say is we rarely see a couple party so hard. Everyone was dancing. It was a sight to behold. This wedding was of a different kind. All hardships seemed to be left at the door while all that mattered was right in front of them.
