The night ended at the Royalty House in an epic fashion
but, a few hours earlier. Jena and Mario began getting ready early at the Park Hotel separated only by a floor. The room was small but full. Composed nerves were broken as a small note arrived. Taking a seat by the widow she began to read. Tears rolled with each syllable and vowel. Not only from the bride but, from the intimate inner circle that gathered all around. In those moments the details become arbitrary. Our focus becomes people. Our minds have become slowly rewired to document these moments.
Although, the moment is only a few seconds to a minute we are consumed. Living in these moments. Attempting to take in the breadth of it all. We want to capture these moments and in that instant we need to capture these moments, for us. Photographing each of these moments allows us to share our interpretation. It becomes an outlet for how we view the world. Since Robyn picked up a camera a few years back and began to ask questions I knew in the back of my mind she would understand it one day. She would begin to see light and shadow. Composition and feeling. I am amazed that we get to do this together.
