We’re just not sure what to focus on with this post. For one we had an all access pass to the Scarab Club, a renown art gallery in Midtown, as well as just enough of the Guardian Building to get a good feel for it. Both monuments in Detroit one towers above it’s skyline as a guardian per se and the other, while not an Art Deco giant, is unique.
The Scarab Club is a relatively small three story brick building in Midtown Detroit. It’s known as an art gallery but has the space to host an assortment of events. As wedding photographers our goal is to photograph in as many unique venues as possible. Que the Scarab Club. It’s interiors adorned with art, deep colored wood floors, furniture and decor that evokes splendor, and an amazing outdoor garden perfect for any wedding ceremony.
Getting to know our couples through photography is always a joy of ours. We’re story tellers. We love a good story. It helps reel us in as we begin to escape our reality. It keeps our vision wide and our hearts full. What Steve and Catrina showed us was immense love. Embrace is what we say a lot but when we see it is when the definition changes. They laughed and played perfectly but when you put them in front of the camera you couldn’t help but mutter “damn they’re beautiful” with almost every shot. They blew all our expectations away photo after photo.
