Growing up California seemed like such a paradise. Still don’t know because we’ve never been, but Kiyanna and Glen do. They lived there. They got engaged there. Their loved blossomed there and now they’re in Michigan. Sound like a downer? Not really and you’ll see. Because we all know Michigan is not California. For several obvious reasons, but they wanted the feel of the coast. The golden sun. The beauty of the west but without the travel. They wanted California vibes but in the midwest. Enter Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
With waves pulsing, like breath, against the distant shore. The sun slowly dripping below the horizon one could hardly tell they we were still in Michigan. All because Silver Lake Sand Dunes is different. The senses can hardly interpret what the eyes consume. It becomes easy to let words drift aside. To just absorb for a little. To let wonder become enough. As photos do justice and words become ineffective. It feels good to the soul to let interpretation take a step aside and let nature speak. To watch two souls bond in the natural beauty.
